Medical marijuana
by Mikethegreek inhey everyone.... i'm new to this but i would like to run my experience with medical marijuana past you.
i'm 48 years of age and have been in the truth for my whole life.. i suffer from ankylosing spondilitis and have for many many years.
it's a debilitating form of spinal arthritis and the symptoms of this auto-immune disorder affect more than my spine.

I would ask the same uptight elders if they have any moral objections to alcohol or other pharmaceuticals such as pain killers or anti-depressants. They will probably spout their typical gibberish about following the law of the land, that same "law" they have no problem breaking under the guise of "theocratic warfare."
If smoking it makes the elders uncomfortable, explain that there are other methods of ingesting it. Edibles is one way you could go. Personally, edibles give me horrible anxiety. I prefer vaping THC concentrates because the effects are felt within a few minutes. There are also sublingual THC sprays that you can spray under your tongue which allow you to dose in exact amounts. Another option are the THC capsules. These will be dosed with the same milligrams as the edibles. The availability of any of these will depend on the state of course. I'm in California, so any of these are easy to get your hands on.
Another option that I have seen some still-in JWs use is CBD. CBD is completely legal because it is derived from Hemp plants. It has all of the natural healing properties as THC, but without the psychoactive effects. It also doesn't show up on drug tests.

Dr David Kelly and Danny Casolaro
by LoveUniHateExams ini’ve long been interested in the death of dr david kelly – i bought norman baker’s book and i recently bought a book by miles goslett on the topic.
in his book, norman baker mentions danny casolaro.
he was a freelance journalist who, like dr kelly, was also ‘suicided’.. i’ve just been watching part one of a two part documentary on casolaro’s ‘suicide’ … and am fascinated with the parallels to kelly’s death.. prior to their deaths, both men were involved in highly sensitive matters – kelly had come forward to a journalist to blow the whistle on the blair government’s sexed-up dossier; casolaro had been gathering information on underground activities involving the us government and the cia.. both men were found with their wrists slashed.. there were certain discrepancies in both cases.

Not familiar with this particular story. But it does remind me of the Gary Webb story. Except in Gary Webb's case, the government didn't kill him, just ruined his reputation for exposing the CIA's connection to drug dealers bringing cocaine into US and using the profits to fund Nicaraguan Rebels.
The movie is worth watching if you're into these types of stories:

The problem is that uninformed people throw around the term "racists" or "fascists" at Trump style conservatives when the situation doesn't always call for it and it ends up muddying the water for other situations where those labels are appropriate.
Being Pro-American does not get you labeled a racist or a fascist in my book. Openly advocating for genocide, ethnic cleansing, and the subjugation of anyone who isn't white, unfortunately, will get you labeled with the dreaded "racist" or "fascist" because it fits the actual definition.

Not Being Invited To Gatherings.
by kennylazo1 inhave you ever found out that your "buddies" from the kingdom hall went out to have fun and did not invite you?
if so how did you feel?.

There's no way to sugar coat it, it sucks. Nothing hurts more than feeling like you are left out. Especially by people that you consider a "friend" or "buddy." I experienced this heavily during my early teens when I was still "in" because my family was considered bad association due to my brother getting into some legal trouble. My so called "buddies" in the hall stopped talking to me and ceased to invite me to gatherings. All because of something that was beyond my control. It was at that point that I realized that it wasn't really a friendship. It was all conditional.
This was honestly the biggest eye opener of my life and the catalyst for me leaving the organization right before I was about to get baptized. And thank goodness for that!

What’s your opinion—-Wearing a Trump Hat ok to get kicked out of bar?
by minimus inmaga hat...make america great again .
guy wears it in nyc bar and gets thrown out.
manhattan court throws out the case citing that since its not religious discrimination, it’s the bar’s right.. what so you think about this?

I agree with the notion that if you are going to enforce rules for one group, apply it consistently across the board. It prevents issues like this from arising and causing unnecessary partisan bickering.
